Liquid Calcium Chloride

Rock Salt only melts effectively to + 20F. Road departments have used liquid calcium chloride to decrease the effective melting temperature of rock salt for many years. Simply sprinkle liquid calcium over the rock salt in your hopper to increase the effectiveness of rock salt at lower temperatures.
